SoftStep is not a single component — it is a layered construction philosophy applied across the Good Feet collection. Every model that carries the SoftStep designation has been built and tested to deliver a specific outcome: all-day comfort, zero foot fatigue, and zero blisters, regardless of surface or duration.

The system was developed in partnership with our podiatry advisors and refined through testing on real walkers — nurses, teachers, logistics workers, hikers, and ultramarathon runners — across 30+ countries.

Breathable Upper
Air Mesh / PU / Canvas Outer
The outer layer is selected per model for breathability, structure, and durability. Air mesh uppers allow continuous airflow. PU uppers provide structure for high-activity use. Canvas provides lightweight flexibility for daily wear.

Anti-Friction Lining
Silk / Cotton / Synthetic Lining
The interior lining is the first line of defence against blisters. Silk lining in premium models (GF Rise, GF Gorpcore M) provides near-zero friction. Cotton lining in everyday models absorbs moisture and keeps feet cool. Anti-odour treatment applied throughout.

Comfort Insole
EVA / Latex Foam / PU Insole
The insole is the core of the SoftStep system. EVA insoles provide lightweight cushioning and memory. Latex massage insoles (GF Rise F/M, GF Ground M) stimulate circulation with every step. PU insoles provide structured support for high-arch and flat-foot profiles.

Midsole Cushion
EVA Midsole
The EVA midsole sits between the insole and outsole, absorbing impact forces before they reach the foot. In double-EVA models (GF Pace, GF Rise), two layers of EVA work in tandem to provide maximum shock absorption — critical for 10,000+ step days.

Torsional Support
Shank / Structural Reinforcement
Selected models include a torsional shank for midfoot stability — preventing the shoe from twisting under load. Critical for trail and high-mileage models (GF Peak M, GF Trek M, GF Nine M). Controls lateral movement and reduces ankle fatigue.

Outsole
Rubber / EVA / TPR / PVC Outsole
The outsole provides grip, durability, and flex. Rubber outsoles (most models) provide all-terrain traction. TPR outsoles flex naturally with the foot for walking comfort. Injection-moulded PVC outsoles (GF Pure M, GF Sole M) provide zero-separation durability. Each outsole pattern is designed for the shoe's intended use.

Tested for 8-12 hour continuous wear across all models. Podiatrist approved for extended daily use.
Circulation Support
Latex massage insoles in select models stimulate plantar circulation with every step — reducing swelling during long days.
Anti-Odour System
Moisture-wicking lining and anti-odour treatment prevent bacterial growth — keeping shoes fresh through daily use.
